256 Pi "A Hypothesis" may be getting a lot more attention but this one's definitely comparable in quality. there's a lot more classical elements to this one, more focus on cellos and strings, and there are a few pieces which get markedly darker and more experimental, but the compositions are just as sophisticated. very solid work again! Favorite track: Gnosienne No. 1 (Version Égoïste).

about

This project's purpose is the exploration of the delicate equilibrium between opposing forces. This ambient journey delves into the fine line where light and dark intertwine.

It is a blend of neoclassical and cinematic elements to create a sonic landscape that captivates. Traditional instruments, such as strings, pianos, clarinets & metallophones take the lead, lending a timeless elegance to the compositions.

The heart of "Distance Between Light and Dark" lies in its capacity to traverse a range of emotions. Lighter pieces envelop you in warmth and contemplation, while the interplay of neoclassical and ambient elements crafts an atmosphere of serenity and optimism.

As the album unfolds, it ventures into darker, more experimental territories. Soundscapes hint at the enigmatic, offering a seamless transition that mirrors the complexities of human experience.

For me as the creator, "Distance Between Light and Dark" is more than a collection of tracks composed randomly; but rather it's a journey through the duality of existence. It's a sonic exploration of contrasts, inviting you to contemplate the interplay of light and dark, and the emotions that these realms evoke.
